Graduate students, as well as undergraduates, were asked to weigh in on USC's new health plan. Its new health care plan, Aetna Student Health, will allow you and your dependents to join for $60 less than Anthem, which charged 60 percent more. Undergraduate students, like Robert Ward, said any change in health care efficiency is a good thing. However, undergraduate students still face a variety of challenges when it comes to insurance coverage.

Plan details

The Aetna student health USC plan details are available online. You can view your ID card, print it, and save it digitally. Aetna no longer mails insurance cards to students. Instead, you can access your card through the web. Once you have it, you can visit the Student Health Center for details and submit a claim. The information contained on the card must be updated to reflect your coverage.

The Aetna student health USC plan also includes dental and vision coverage. If you do not need dental coverage, this plan is an excellent choice. You can enroll for coverage as part of a comprehensive plan and receive discounts. The annual maximum benefit is $750. The annual plan will cover you from 8/1/2022 through 7/30/2023, with fall enrollment dates running from July 20 to August 31, 2022. You will have access to a 24/7 health hotline, a digital ID card, and international student resources.

Rates

USC has announced that the new health insurance plan, Aetna Student Health, will offer its members and their dependents coverage for as much as 60 percent less than Anthem's prices. Undergraduates benefit from changes in health care costs and efficiency. During a recent survey, students expressed their opinion on the new plan. Students are encouraged by the new plan's lower rates, and they want to see more of these changes.

USC Student Health offers low-deductible plans, which help students save money while maintaining coverage for preventive care and wellness services. These plans also cover preventive care and women's health visits, and off-set the cost of specialty care. Moreover, a student's plan offers 10 free counseling sessions per year. Moreover, the USC Student Health program offers wellness programs to keep students physically and emotionally fit.

Co-pays

The changes to the Student Health Insurance Plan were implemented August 14, 2020. In the previous plan year, students would be required to pay 10% of the cost of office visits. However, in the current plan year, a flat co-pay of $20 will be required for most office visits. This change has not been felt by all plan holders as a result of COVID-19 liberalization. But it will likely affect many students and can be a positive change.

The USC Student Health Insurance Plan is sponsored by Aetna and is included in the cost of a student's student ID. This plan covers many health services such as STI testing, physical exams, pre-exposure prophylaxis, and more. Additionally, it covers the cost of dental and vision care. The student health insurance plan also covers dental care. USC student health insurance coverage is available in two locations at USC: University Park and Health Sciences Campus.
