We all know that money makes us happy. And when we're in a good place financially, it's easy to feel secure and happy. You might not realise it, but having money can sometimes make you feel vulnerable.

The truth is, money can make us feel powerless. we may be able to buy things, but we can't control how much we have or when we get it. We don't have control over our own happiness and security, which is why so many of us feel anxious about our financial situation (and why we keep using the same old tricks to deal with it).

However, there are methods to alter this dynamic. For example, if you find yourself feeling anxious about your finances, try focusing on something else instead: maybe think about something that makes you happy or gives you power. When you do this, you'll notice that your anxiety starts to fade.

One of the reasons why money makes you feel so insecure is because it brings with it a sense of scarcity. Your life becomes one of grabbing and having. Money means competition, and you have to spend time and effort to keep up your status. You’re forced to invest time in what others think you should be doing, rather than do your own thing. If you don’t keep up with the Joneses, they might leave without you knowing it.

Money also makes you feel separate. It means you have a level of independence that most people don’t have, and it involves other people’s approval. If they don’t approve, you can’t keep the money, and the money means everything to you. You might think you can share it with them, but they will never be able to give back as much as they do to you if they have their own stuff!
