I think Workers' Compensation Insurance is one of the most complex insurance packages. Most time, lawsuits are used to settle Workers' Compensation Insurance claims. When there are disagreements or disputes between the insurance company and the insured organization, one party would most likely go to court to decide the matter. Here, we look at some of the litigations that are associated with a worker's compensation insurance plan.

1) Medical Services: Medical services given to injured staff are always being disputed and taken to court. This often happens when the medical doctor of the injured staff recommends a medical process that the medical doctor of the insurance company disagrees with. In some cases, the injured staff's medical doctor might recommend surgery and the insurance company's medical doctor disagree. With the disagreement, the insurance company would not want to pay for the medical expenses of the surgery. It is then taken to court to be decided.

2) Lost wages: The insurance company has to pay the claimant the number of wages lost for the period that the worker is not actively working. This always leads to litigation as the insurance company might disagree on the actual amount to be paid.

These are the two litigations commonly associated with Workers Compensation Insurance.
