I have already handled two things the insurance company wishes a staff doesn't know about Workers' Compensation Insurance law in Atalanta, Georgia, USA. That was in the first part of this post. You can search for it with the same title as this post. This is the second part. Let's delve right into other things your employer and the worker's compensation insurance provider wouldn't want you to know regards your claims

1) In the laws of Atlanta, an employer is required to formulate a panel of doctors to treat you if you have a job-related injury. This panel is required per Atlanta laws to have six physicians on it. It also needs to have an orthopedic surgeon on it.

2) As per the laws of Georgia, and Atlanta laws, you have up to 30 days to report your injury sustained on the job to your employer and the insurance provider. This is contrary to the widely proliferated assertion by insurance companies that you must report your injury on the same day it occurred. The safest thing to do is to report a job injury as soon as possible but the insurance company doesn't have any right to deny your claim on excuses of lateness if it is within the 30 days timeframe.
