As I have said before in a previous post, an insurance company is an out-and-out business entity. They are concerned primarily with profit maximization. That's why they try as much as possible to tone down claims. With worker's compensation insurance policies, there are certain provisions in Atlanta, USA that puts some measure of responsibility on the insurance companies. You very rarely hear the insurance company talk about this because it would mean they have to spend their money. They don't wish a staff who is insured under a worker's compensation insurance cover knows about these. I am going to unveil them here

1) In Atalanta, if you have worked for three months, you are entitled to pay a medical visit to a doctor of your choice and the insurance has to pay for this visit. This provision didn't say you should see the insurance company's doctor. It said you are at liberty to choose any doctor of any ranking to examine you. The insurance company would hardly let you know these.

2) In Atalanta, Georgia, it is required by law that the employer through the insurance provider pays you for every mileage you travel to get medical attention for a job-related injury. They are supposed to pay you to and from.

These are the two secrets that your insurance company would wish you don't know. Watch out for part 2 of this post/tutorial.
