How do car insurance companies handle a cancellation?

Insurance cancellations can be tricky. Your car insurance may cover the cost of your uninsured coverage, but your health insurance and any other medical services might not. If this happens, you’ll have to pay for your medical services that are not covered by your auto insurance. It’s important to find out what kind of coverage you have before enrolling in a new policy or canceling yours, so that you know what to expect when it goes wrong.

You've been banned from driving for safety reasons - this specifically relates to an accident that you were involved in. Both the auto insurance, as well as your health insurance, would cover the cost of your medical services.

Insurance companies can cancel policies if they believe that you will use it in a way that goes against the company's primary business. Essentially, unfair and illegal driving will result in a policy cancellation. If your insurance company is concerned about you as a driver, then they may also cancel your policy for any other reason too.

If it happens that even after a policy cancellation you have to go through with any sort of recovery or rehabilitation procedure or treatment, then the insurer will be obligated to pay the full cost thereof.
