Kentucky is a beautiful place to live, especially if you love the outdoors and want to spend as much time outside as possible. But if you're like most of us, living in an urban area can be lonely and isolating.

This is the reason I came up with this list of six rural Kentucky jobs that pay additional money. Whether you want to work from home or start your own business, these ideas are sure to help you earn some extra money while enjoying nature's beauty.

1. Take a job at a farm or ranch and work your way up the ranks, from ranch hand to foreman.

2. Get a full-time job at a local grocery store or gas station and learn how to drive a tractor.

3. Work as an intern at a local law firm and get trained by the best lawyers in town!

4. Get a part-time job as a cashier at your high school or college's gym/athletic department, and then ask to be hired full-time after graduation when you can prove you're good enough to work there.

5. Start your own business! No matter what kind of business it is, there are sure to be plenty of people who need your services around here. so why not try your hand at something new?

6. Volunteer for one of the nonprofits in town, especially if they focus on helping kids or animals. those are always popular causes!
