A business is a separate legal entity if the law recognizes the business as a personality of it's own, quite distinct from the owners. The law recognizes the business as a corporate body or corporate personality which has the power to sue or to be sued in its own Right, without involving the owners e.g joint stock companies are separate legal entities.
On the other hand, a business is not a separate legal entity I'd the law does not recognize the business as a personality distinguish between the business and the business owners. The business and the business owners. The business does not have the power to sue or to be sued in it's own right. The owners can be sued jointly or separately for business debts or for breach of contact on the part of the business.
In separate legal entity there are also the production of goods and services based on the Decision of the owner or producers , but just that it's in a separate and legal way, separate legal entities are also mainly seen parted in terms of cooperation.. It has a low cooperation in production when compared to partnership and even the sole proprietorship. I.e: one man business.
