The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is a statewide assistance program that offers health insurance counseling to low-income seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries. SHIP is a community-based network of counselors​

Through outreach and engagement, SHINE provides free, confidential one-on-one counseling to Medicare beneficiaries. The program also engages volunteers and conducts investigations to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries are not the targets of scams or abuse.
