There are insurance companies that can treat its customers unfairly. So if you know that you are treated unfairly by any UK car insurance company then you should take action. All you need do is to lay your complaint. The following process is how to go about with the steps

Start by writing a letter of complaint to the defaulted insurance company. With this they would have to resolve the complaint and then get back to you. This should take about 8 weeks. So you would need to give them time to reach out after taking the final decision. The truth is that they might take a decision that might not favor you.

But if you are not happy with the outcome of their resolution then it is time to take the complaint to financial services ombudsman. Well, if the complaint is upheld then you should be compensated up to 150,000 Euros. So this means that you should have a strong case against the insurance before taking this serious.

All the same if you are not happy with the outcome of the financial services ombudsman, then it might just be time to approach the small claims court. But it is always unusual for this court to rule differently from the former. But still give it a shot.
