Learning is a lifelong activity, if you have any skill wanted to learn which you were not opportune to do, after retirement is a good time to learn, at this stage you should opt for skill that allows to learn independently except if it requires a teacher.

Due to a decline in cognitive ability, learning hard skills is impossible for example it will be difficult to be a pilot, software engineer, so it's is advisable to learn skills you are passionate about, there are many skills that you can learn that are easy and fun, for example hiking, dancing, learning a new language, swimming or even jet ski.

The first thing to do after the deciding to learn a skill, is to read about it and understand how it works, then make an effort to start practicing.

Keeping a journal of your progress will help in making you accountable and even motivated to learn.

You can also make an effort to connect with people that are interested in that particular skill especially those in your age group.

Make sure to have fun, because learning a new skill can be tasking at times, learn to rest and celebrate after achieving a milestone.
