When the time comes for USAA to return to office, you may be wondering what it can do to make that happen. Well, for starters, it has sold a controlling stake in a real estate company for $1.8 billion. It has also sold its exchange-traded fund and mutual fund businesses for a combined $850 million. And it will no longer offer a car-buying service, as it ended a 13-year partnership with TrueCar Inc.

Bluestaq

Some of America's largest companies, including USAA and automotive software developer Altia, have announced plans to bring employees back to the office in the coming months. Defense contractors Bluestaq and Boecore also have announced plans to bring employees back to work in the coming months. Financial giant Ent Credit Union is also planning to bring back some employees later this summer. And even the educational organization Junior Achievement plans to bring some employees back to work in the coming months.

In recent years, USAA has expanded its footprint in Charlotte and Plano. It also has plans to open an office in Charlotte. Moreover, it is currently recruiting employees for the Charlotte office. It's unclear if USAA will be leasing office space to other companies, but it is clear that employees will receive a full suite of benefits, including health insurance, paid leave, and more.

Boecore

Some high-profile companies have announced plans to bring employees back to the office. Altia, an automotive software developer, has announced plans to bring back employees, as has Boecore, a defense contractor. Other companies such as the financial giant Ent Credit Union and the insurance companies USAA and Progressive have also announced plans to bring employees back into the office. The financial company Wells Fargo is also preparing to bring employees back into the office later this summer. Even Junior Achievement, a nonprofit organization, has approved some employees to work remotely.

LinkedIn is also embracing a hybrid model, bringing office-based employees back to the office in 2022. But before employees can work on site, they must be fully vaccinated and masked. Mastercard recently announced plans to bring office-based workers back to the office, and it encourages its workers to get vaccinated to stay safe.

Quantum Metric

In late May, the company announced plans to bring its employees back to the office. The company currently has around 300 employees and is looking for office space in Chicago, Boston, and London. Employees in the Chicago office are requesting the return of their former workspace. But where should USAA find that space?

Morgan Stanley

Wall Street bosses are pushing their employees to return to the office more. They have not yet made an official statement requiring workers to work at their desks five days a week, but they have made changes that could make this possible. For example, Morgan Stanley has announced that it will no longer require its sales staff to work from home more than 90 days a year. In addition, the bank is allowing staff from outside of New York to come to the office regardless of whether or not they have had the required vaccinations. It will no longer require its employees to wear face coverings or undergo COVID testing. Morgan Stanley has already stopped testing for COVID.

Both companies have long-standing reputations for innovation. They were among the first to offer mobile check deposit and online banking. Until 2009, they operated largely without a branch network. Most customers would call the bank to make transactions. Then, they started building a physical branch network. But last year, they closed 17 of 21 branches, citing the fact that customers prefer to transact through digital channels.

H-E-B

H-E-B is returning to the Alamo City after a six-year hiatus. The company is one of the three largest employers in San Antonio and recently welcomed its leadership back to the office. Starting in July, the company will add additional employees and will require about 2 percent of employees to work in the office. Employees will still have the option of working from home, however.

H-E-B is headquartered in San Antonio and employs more than 100,000 people. It has over 350 stores throughout Texas. The company ranks 11th on the Forbes list, making it the only company headquartered in San Antonio to appear in several states. Forbes conducted a survey of 80,000 employees of companies with at least 500 employees to determine the list.
