Medicare is a kind of insurance offered to the U.S. citizens. It is a common kind of insurance policy and program offers to senior citizens of the United States. The fact of the matter is that since scammers know the fact that many people are eligible to get this kind of insurance by the government, they start targeting people who have this kind of insurance.

Medicare scams are really common nowadays. The sad thing is that despite the fact that people do know that such scams exist, nothing is done in order to prevent these scams. One of the common kind of scam involves those anonymous phone calls that you tend to receive. These scammers may pretend as if they are representatives of some health company or even Medicare representatives themselves and try to obtain sensitive information from insurance policy holder or the patient.

They may even obtain social security code from the patient as well. They would claim that they will send "free" products to customers who might be eligible to get the health products. The main problem is that those products are not at all free because they are covered by your health insurance. Regardless of that, how to prevent such kind of scams?
