An insurance agent is a person employed by an insurance company with a specific role to sell the products of the insurance company. Like every other profession, insurance agency is not an easy profession. It is not meant for everybody. It has it's own personality traits and attributes. Personality traits are those things that make up the character of a person's personality. A career in insurance agency has its own personality traits that can make one successful in the career. These are;
1) Possession of a high energy level: An insurance agent has ri be upbeat at all times. He/ she doesn't have to be someone who easily gets moody. With a moody kill, an insurance agent cannot inspire hope which is important for an insurance business.
2) Determination and persistence: A potential insurance agent must be someone that is strong-willed and persistent. It requires someone that doesn't give up easily because some clients might frustrate you till you feel like dumping them but you don't have to.
3) Sincerity: A good insurance agent has to be sincere and not one who is prone to telling lies. It would help to foster trust between him and a client in his insurance career.
